At our community center pool they offer swimming lessons with the swim squad, so I decided to sign up the boys. They are so scared of the water. Bath time is even difficult. I hoped that swimming lessons would help calm their fears.
They were supposed to be in a group class but we were the only ones who signed up! So two teachers with two scared kids, perfect.
I didn't think Sam would get in the water, but he did. Although he cried most of the time.
Anthony on the other hand was nervous at first but by the end of the class he was kicking across the pool and blowing bubbles in the water!
When we left Anthony said we needed to go get him some goggles (he no longer calls them gobbles), so he can dive so deep in the water. Sam was excited that he got in the water and kept saying, "I go to swimming lessons mom."
Lets hope this is the key to get them to love taking baths!
