Up in the Night

So I've worked a lot of graveyard shifts in my days and I actually quite enjoyed them. The world is a totally different place at 3am. Its quiet and calm, you can hear all sorts of animals scurrying about ect. ect. That was the good old days! Now my 3am is filled with screams. My young little man just can't quite seem to be happy in the wee hours of the morning. It starts anywhere from 6pm to 11pm and doesn't end sometimes until about 4am. Its frustrating because he is a perfect little angel outside of these hours. He will look around and lay there content, but not when we want to sleep. The night before last we decided to try formula. Just for a day Renato told me, just to see if it was my milk that was causing the fuss. That night wasn't too bad. He ate around 2, then slept. Got up for a diaper change and back to sleep. Last night however was a different story. I had him to sleep around midnight and I went down. Sure enough 1/2 hour later he was up screaming. Luckily Renato was still up so he took him so I could get a few more winks. By 1:30 Renato was done and it was my turn. I tried feeding him, burping him, changing him, we even watch baby einsteins in the vibrating bouncer. He would be dead asleep in my arms, but as soon as I lay him down or prop him up he screams. I had to resort to a drive. 15 minutes just to be safe. It makes me nervous to resort to this because I don't want to get him out of the car seat after he is asleep. But it worked for a few hours. He woke me up 10 minutes before my alarm to go to school. I wish I could just switch it around and have sleep as good at night as he does during the day. Its a puzzle as to what ails him in the middle of the night. Hopefully I can figure it out before I go back to work! Love my little S*!t
