YES HE DID!

Oliver had his ABR hearing test last week. Lets just say it was quite difficult for me. I had to have him sleep deprived and hungry when we arrived to the appointment. Its not easy keeping this guy awake in the car! It took me about 45 minutes to get him fully asleep but the lady started the test anyway. Since his left ear does not open they can't do normal hearing tests on him. They put electrodes on his head to test brain waves in response to stimuli on the cochlea. Basically that means they watch his brain to see if it reacts when they make noise. It was quite a long test, and I was holding him out from my body for quite a while. Since hes almost 10 pounds now, my arms and back were killing me. But totally worth the news that he can hear. He obviously has hearing loss in that ear since it is covered in skin, but inside has the full range of hearing! When he is 6 months old I'm going to see if he can have surgery to open up his ear, and maybe say good bye to his shrek nubs! (skin tags)
