One Year in Our Dream House

Since a year ago today we moved into our house, I figured it was time to post some pictures!
This is an old picture, but it looks pretty similar. We did do the landscaping, and redid the stairs outside. This is Renato's man cave! He designed it all himself, and it is beautiful.
A view of my back door and our floor. When we bought the house the floor had to be redone!
Bedroom, before. Notice how awful that paint is. Pink and green just shouldn't be on walls together like that!
Same bedroom, after. This is our Blue room, otherwise known as Oliver's room!
We also had to get new window coverings on the bedroom windows. This is the kitchen, with the old floor and old backdrop on the stove. (I still have those plants, they came with the house)
Kitchen after! The new floor is beautiful, yet very difficult to keep clean. Plus we had to get a bunch of new appliances.
The old floor was really pretty, but there were gaps between the pieces of wood. Had to go, and it took almost two months to complete. Plus in this picture you can see the holes in the walls. All over our house there were holes, in the ceilings and the walls. There was a sound system, that they pulled out.
New sounds system installed and the fireplace now matches the new floor!
Another example of things that were removed.
New Dishwasher!
This is the half bathroom. There are 4.5 bathrooms, and all of them had their original toilets removed and replaced with crappy ones (haha crappy!). This is the only one that worked. They also took all the light fixtures and mirrors from the bathrooms.
New toilets, mirrors, and lights in all the bathrooms. Plus this one got a new floor. This one is my favorite because of the cool sink! Plus the new toilets have no slam lids, so the boys don't slam their fingers. Of course they never put the seat down anyway! I know better than to just sit on a toilet in my house, must always lower the seat first!
So there you have it. Our dream house. Hopefully most of the projects are done, and this year we can just love being home. I can't believe that this time last year I was still in school, moving, and we only had two kids!
